I live in Southern California and “enjoyed” the ride of this morning’s earthquake. Almost immediately, I Tweeted about it and then watched additional Tweets stack up from others experiencing it, and folks from all over the world expressing concern.

What a phenomenal case study for the power of Twitter to connect mobs/tribes/communities of people in real time. How can we harness that energy to change the world? Now there’s something to ponder.

So what does this have to do with marketing? This article at the Standard.com talks about how they used the Twitter search tool to track the number of updates about the earthquake.

You can use the same technology to track conversations related to your niche market and connect with potential customers, suppliers, joint venture partners and industry experts.

Shake up your business with Twitter marketing.
